Tips for the C-class
Hey, I just purchased a 2001 c320 today and would like to ask some of the C-Class owners out there about their vehicles. I am totally new to cars, but suddenly came in urgent need for one so if you C-Class gurus could really break it down for me and any other car newbies out there it would help a bunch! Itd be nice to hear some tips to keep my car in good condition (obviously aside from the obvious -- "dont wreck it and change the oil" kinda stuff-- ) , and signs of things to look out for if I believe something is not well in my car.
And for the thread's sake, I will add the one thing I learned about this car (or at least what the dealer told me): Apparently you can not have the key in the ignition while you are jumping the car because it can damage/greatly affect the operational qualities of the key itself. So unplug it, wire your car up to the other car's battery and THEN start the car. Hopefully this is something we can all avoid, but who knows?
In addition, some pointers on where to find parts for maintainence and increased performance would be great too.
thanks,
