Default Thermatic aircon control

Just got my new W204 C200. Did not realise this when test driving the car.

The so called thermatic aircon will stop the internal air circulation after certain duration and brings in air externally. The only way to revert the circulation back to internal air is to press the re-circulation control again after about 45mins.

I know the rational for this but this feature is not very good in urban city driving in hot tropical markets.

The local agent said there is nothing can be done. Find this hard to believe. Any way to re-program??

Any help much appreciated.

let me know when you do find out. apparently in Europe the outside air is healthier and fresher than the cabin. Try driving in the cities of Asia and they'd think of this. But having said that, it is more apparent in my father's old car, the new w204 that I have, the air filter is quite good... only if the air outside is really really horrible do I actually notice a whiff of the outside stink. Changed my father's car air filter and he doesnt notice it anymore.
