Ok, yesterday the display on the dash alerted us that the rear tail light on my dad's c240 had gone out and that the substitute was on. I would like to replace the bulb, where should i buy a replacement, and how hard is the tail light assembly to open?
Thanks!
Thanks!

open the trunk and look to the side with the bad bulb; like right behind it
(the light); you should be able to pull the liner off but not totally off; then you will see the back of where the lights are; it should say open, close with a lever; turn it to open and pull. at least that is the way it is on my 99 C280.
hope that helps

ok what could be going on?
I took the light panels and tried to see which was wrong by having someone else do signals, brake, etc, but the bulbs on right and left side all matched (one on each never lit up, i assume it is the backup) ALSO, when the panels were removed the car would not give the message. All the bulbs looked to be intact (no broken fillaments) so i put the panels back, and the message came back on. Any ideas? Maybe something is shorting?
