I have a C200CDI (2003 Manufacture), having a starting problem. I tried an unconventional way of starting by holding a cloth soaked with petrol near ot the air intake line by removing the hose, cranked the engine and it started but it does not otherwise start.
Can anybody help out ???

 

1< Try checking the master fuse for the glow plugs 2 <make sure you have a good fuel flow to injectors,crack line to see if fuel is coming out. 3 < use of a little starting fluid will help starting in general.
