Default Srs light

I have a 1999 Mercedes C200 Classic. I have an SRS light on the dashboard and the central consul. Sometimes it's on, sometimes it's off and sometimes if the passanger moves on the seat it switches on r off. Can someone tell me how to prevent it coming on at all. We have no baby seat by the way.

It could be your seatbelt buckle, which has a built-in microswitch inside. I'm pretty sure your 1999 C200 does not have a Child seat recognition sensor," coz it's too old!

No it's not the seat belt as whatever I do to the passenger seat belt it does nothing to the light, but wriggle on the seat and the SRS light is affected. Can you suggest anything else please
