Anyone know how to replace the bulb on the trunk light on an 2001 C320? It seems like I'd break the plastic cover trying to pry it off with a knife. Sometimes it lights up and works and other times it doesnt come on when I open the trunk and need it in the dark!

Are you talking about the small Lic. plate bulbs or the one inside the trunk? The plate bulbs are easy. Just unscrew the the small phillips screw until they are barely out then use the screws to pull the cover down. The bulb will come out with the cover.

 

I'm referring to the one inside the trunk.

 

If you dont have light when open trunk - it may by switch.

Switch is in the lock. You can no need to remove - only try in the lock open fully small snap which is keeping trung closed. - when is not fully opened - dont switch ON.

If is it - oil may help.
