I have a C320 - 2004 4Matic

The service B indicator was to be done after 5200 miles. I had got my Service A Light at 9k miles and at present i have 12k miles when i the warning said "5200k miles away from Service B"

I suddenly got a warning sign on my dashboard that the "OlL Level is too low" while driving and since i was in the area where the dealership was at that time, i called the service center and went to them immediately.

The technician there said that there is too much oil(when the warning was for less oil) and vacummed some oil.

The warning went away after the same.

Today it is saying that the Service B is 28 days away at 12 k Miles. How is that possible ????? Has anyone ever got this problem ?

I have a 2002 C230 Sport Coupe with 26,000 km. I have had the Low Oil Warning once when I exited an off-ramp and had to stop quickly. I have also had the High Oil Warning come on after a similar experience. In both cases, the on-board computer was over compensating and the oil levels were in fact fine. If in doubt do a manual check using the dip stick. I hope the mechanic who removed your oil took into account the operating temp of the engine. The hotter the engine the higher the oil level appears. (always check when engine has been off and preferably cold for most accurate readings)
With regard to your last question, in Canada the reading are for an oil change every 15000 km. I was picking up my car one day at the dealership. When I turned off the car I know it said I had 8000km to go. An hour later, the readout read that I needed an oil change immediately. It turned out I had run out of TIME, in my case 15000km or one year. The FSS reads km and days. I drove another 6000km and 475 days before I had the oil change done.

 

might be a computer problem i dont think that there is anything to worry about. but get it checked anyways.
