Default serpentine belt replacement

I have a 2001 C240 with 105K and am about to change my serpentine belt. The original seems fine but I thought this would be preventative maintenance. I was questioning if I should replace the idler pulley and/or belt tensioner at the same time. I was also wondering if you had any tips for replacement. I also need to replace a passenger front brake line that is cut. I just changed my rear springs and front wheel bearings. Does anyone know where I can purchase an affordable driver side rear tail light assembly? Thanks for your assistance.

Bill

OK Bill.....since nobody replied, I'll take a shot at it. If it were me, I'd just replace what the car needs in terms of the belt.
You can find the tail light at www.autopartswarehouse.com if you type in your make, model, and year. And other places as well, but
that's just one place I found one. Around $150 bucks. I have no affiliation with them, but I have bought from them before things like
filters, etc. and they're legit. Free shipping over 50 dollars too. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mr. Coyote. You have helped me in the past. I really appreciate the information from this forum as there are many knowledgable gearheads out there. I've changed brakes & rotors all around, front upper & lower control arms, front stabilizer struts, rear coil springs, spark plugs, and the routine filters and fluids. Let me know if there is ever any information I can provide to you. I'm going to replace the front passenger brake line, probably the bushings on the front stabilizer bar, and the serpentine belt soon. These NE pot holes are terrible on the suspension. I've already replaced 2 rims. I obviously like working on cars.
I started learning onmy Family's1957 Ford Country Squire station wagon with a 292 ci 2 barrel. Only plugs, points, brake drums and linings, shocks, and exhaust systemsback then. Maybe an alternator/generator or a starter or two. Then onto a 1962 Buick Invicta convertable, 1966 Olds Toronado, 1967 Buick Lesabre 400, 1969 MGB, 1969 Olds Toronado, 1972 Olds Toronado, 1982 Buick Regal(loser), and a 1990 Saab 900S. I wish I had that 66 Toronado now. All of these vehicles had between 135K and 250K on them before they were sold/traded. I almost forgot to add a couple of boats with a Chevy 250 ci 6 cylinder, one with a Chevy 5.7L MPI, and a couple of 1974 440cc Artic Cat El Tigre snowmobiles. Still have the boats and snowmobiles. I know more than anyone cares to know. Again you help is appreciated.

Thanks again,
Bill

Thanks for the kind words, Bill. I started out on a '56 T-bird with a 312. Had my road test at the driver's license place in a '56 Cadillac, a land yacht, and yes, I had to parallel park it. I was 15. This was before dinosaurs roamed the earth. Then went on to a Corvair Spyder (turbo 180hp) remember THOSE???.....and then the hot rodding bug bit me and it never ended. I still can't leave anything alone. My own cars today are a '66 mustang fastback and a Dodge Viper. Two toys and a MB to actually drive. Ha! Lived in NE for 15 years so I hear what you're saying. And finally, yes, I remember points, plugs, and condenser was the standard tune-up just about everywhere. Every guy had his timing light and plug wrench ready at tune-up time. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The little idle/air screw on the carburetor! HA! Sorry to bore everybody with this. Now I gotta go out in the garage and make sure I got that idle screw one and a half turns out.
