Seeking step by step changing cabin air filter 2008 c300
Looking for instructions to get to cabin air filter. Got all but side panel pulled, just don't want to break it. Any ideas which way it snaps or pulls out? Newbie here.
Thanks

The kick panel is the one I'm having trouble with. Don't know where to pry or slide. I put everything back together for now. And tips on removing the kick panel?
Also want to change the air cleaner. How the heck does the engine cover come off? Front one is easy, but back one is tight. Again, I don't want to pry on something and break the plastic.
Thanks for any help.

Just remove the molding on the pinch weld. You may have to remove the plastic sill plate as it covers the molding. Just start at the back and pull up. With the pinch molding removed you will see 2 clips just pry them off and slide the kick panel back. It will only take you a minute.
The air cleaner just pulls strait up. Make sure you use a quality filter. If dirt gets past it will damage the Air Mass. When seating the air filter housing back to the engine, seat it around the Air Mass first. Then seat the front of the housing. It is very easy to not get it seated all the way or damage the seal for the Air Mass Sensor. If this happen you will get a check engine light and the car can run very bad as well. Then saving $30 will cost you $100 or so to fix. I see this all the time!

Ok, thanks for the info. Will try that. I did see the two clips but was not sure if I could just pry them straight away from the pinch weld. Will give it a try. Wish there were some pics. Maybe I will take some if I run into any problems.
Thanks, Dann
