Reset service light

Reset service light
I am a new owner of a 2006 C230 and had it serviced at 22000 miles by my regular mechanic. He didn't know how to reset the service indicater and now it is telling me I,m late with my 26000 service, even though I only have 24500 miles on the car. How do I reset the service light indicator? Also, (and I know this may sound stupid) is this car FWD or RWD? Why does the brake fluid have to be flushed and replaced every time it is serviced?

RE: Reset service light
If you do a search for resetting the service indicator, you will find the proper steps to do so for you year car.
It has been posted a number of times here.
Your car is rear wheel drive.
Brake fluid does not need to be changed at every service.
Somebody was yankin' your crank there.
At 22k miles, you are quite a ways off from doing that.
I hope your "mechanic" didn't tell you that.
If he did, get a new one.
