Default Replacing CD-Changer - glove box

Just bought my c230 last week w/ the cd changer broken apparently. When I press CD on the radio it says no changer installed. I can replace it from ebay parts for around $150.

My question is, if I buy a new one, I can just unmount the other one. Slide the new one in, replug connections, and I'll be good right?

Does mercedes have other cd-changers? Would say an e or different c class oem changer still fit? It looks the same.

Thanks for your time!

mercedes does have different CD changers

however if you do find the right one, you can just unmount the old one and install the new one, that assuming the cable is okay
