Default Replaced Rear SAM...

Hey all,

I replaced my battery and after doing so I was experiencing the tell-tale signs of a blown rear SAM...

Turn Signals, Windshield wipers, "Faulty Display", Fuel Gauge, Trunk, Remotes, etc. all not working.

I ordered a new SAM and replaced it. I "reset" the ESP and windows auto controls. Everything is working like normal again except the fuel gauge. It just sits on empty (it was working fine before replacing the battery). Does the rear SAM need to be programmed or initialized or something? I've been scouring the forums and can't find a solution.

Thanks for any help!

Phil

Is there a way to replace the battery without destroying something else (e.g. SAM)? Probably cheaper to have the dealer replace the battery if some part of the electrical system gets shorted out when you change the battery...My 2003 C240 4 Matic will probably need one this winter...
