Did you try to re-sinc the windows and shades? The instructions are in the manual. If you can't locate them, let me know. Good luck.

Did you try doing a search and seeing what people have said about this problem?
I just searched "rear shade" and a a few people have posted on this problem before.
You might want to take a look. It's not much, but it may be helpful.

I think if mine died, I would attempt to take it out of the car and look at it on a workbench, if you can get it out fairly easily.
I've never had mine out, but I have heard that if it's the motor, they are pricey......to say the least. And perhaps not worth buying a new one. I don't really know. But.....if something is "jammed", and the motor is still good, I think it's worth an hour or two of playing around with it.

you need a new sunshade assembly. i dont think you can get the motor byitself, you need the whole assembly. ive seen it numerous times. have fun removing it.

Default Update on Rear Shade

About a month ago we had about 10" of snow. I started my car to warm and defrost it. Came out 15min later and the rear shade was in the up position!!!!!!!

I guess I fixed it.

has been working fine ever after.
