Hi, I got a 2003 C180 Kompressor.
I bought the car for about a year ago, and the previous owner had the car to a dealer to "repair" the radio. They reprogrammed the on-board software to "fix" the (same as now) problem.
Now, one year later, the radio is completely dead again (can't turn it on, "no" screen light, the buttons and screen backlight can bee seen barely in the dark)
What is this, do I have to get the computer remade again? Can I disconnect the battery and re power again (and what will happen then, is it ok, to diskonnect the battery for a few minutes?)

You should do two things. Check a fuse and reset the radio. To reset the radio, pull out radio from the dash board, disconnect wire harness from radio, wait couple minutes and reconnect it. If your radio has a code keep it handy.

 

Happened to me too. Several times. New radio, reprogramming of the radio and it still does it once ot twice a year. It's a heep of dung, which I'd say about an other couple of electronic bits in my C55.
