No, but now I'm curious as to why you might be considering that. Automatic transmission cars.......uhhh.....gotta be careful there and
I would never do it. Stick cars.......done that a million times. I think there are a variety of reasons why you don't want to try this on an
automatic car. Just jump it. If that doesn't work, tow it and fix the problem. Owner's manual warns against this for auto. trans. cars in most cases.

I have a standard transmission. I don;t even think it possible on an automatic. The reason I'm asking is I tried it before when my car wouldn't start and the battery was fully charged and it would not start with the push start. I took it to the dealer and they had to replace an electronic componet in the ignition and I wondered if that is why it wouldn;t start either way. I haven;t tried it again for fear of damaging something. This is my first MB after all. Thanks to anyone who can give me feedback and to mrcoyote for responding so prompty.

Push start in man trans cars is only when the battery is too weak to crank the engine.
That is the starter is either faulty the power from the battery is not enough to turn it.
If your car does not start because of ignition or fuel relatedproblems, no amount of pushing is going to start the car.
Push start is a no no for auto trans.
