Just want to update on the noise around the right rear (trunk area) with locks engaging. It was the plastic guide that holds the fuel lid locking pin in place coming loose, therefore the pin would not slide into the locking piece that is inside the fuel lid properly. I fixed it this morning (my hands are still hurting from the cold temperature) and no apparent vacuum issue is noted.
Thanks again for your help. Now the issue remains as intermittent starting problem. Will see if it is the fuel pump.
