Electronic remote doesn't lock or unlock car (key battery is fine), can't turn key in the ignition, nothing works... the kicker - the car alarm goes off every so often and I can't turn it off. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have one, try spare/second key.
If not, and the key battery has just been replaced, make sure the two batteries in there are in the facing in the right direction.

was the fuse# 8 problem?
