After having obtained all the necessary parts and materials to tackle this project, I was in for some disappointment and frustration.
Got up this morning full of enthusiasm ready to tackle the job. Got the car up on the blocks, tools out of the workshop and ready to go,
First remove the covers from under the car. Second battle like hell to open the drain plug on the gear box. Oil is draining , great.
Clean around the pan and control modual plug , as i need to replace the adapter because of an oil leak. Oil has drained out of the gearbox now get the T 30 torx key and try loosen the bolt. Guess what!!!!? Broke 2 torx keys and could not shift the bolts. Now I know why Mercedes callas this box sealed for life. All i could do was an oil change. Will have to do another one next month to try flush all the gunk out. luckily when i put everything back together all was well. But for how long. Looks like this box will have to be removed to get those bolts out.
Now i sit with a filter kit that I am not able to install, Bummer.!!!!
Anyone else have a similar problem???
