My 220 diesel has done 160,000 miles and I happily ignore many spurious messages on the screen about faulty lamps etc. as it is still a good drive. I have had the foot pedal worked on by a mechanic which gave some relief from the worsening intermittent beeping. Now I am back to continuous beeping for the first 10 miles of each journey,even when lifting the pedal with my left foot (when spare and not too tired). The garage have quoted me £500 for a proper fix.

So the time has come to cut the wire.The question is which one ?
