Is there anything special I need to know about changing the oil on a 97 C280? I havn't been underneath yet so I'm not sure what I'm in for. Thanks

I don't know if yours is that much differnt that my 99 280, but it took me about 1/2 to locate the oil filter which is on top of the engine on the drivers side front. Yours might be different as this is my first benz and I have heard that there was a straight six C280 in the mid-90's.

Nothing really different than any other car though.

 

Thanks, mine is a straight six. I would not have thought to look on top of the motor for an oil filter. This is my first MB, I have always had American cars and Harleys. I made the the mistake of driving this car and then had to have it.
