NEWBIE !! 2007 c230 (IN NEED OF ADVICE). .PLEASE HELP !!

I just purchased a 2007 C230 and it's telling me if the camshaft / cam positioning sensors and it's making a knocking noise , could use a little bit more info , comments appreciated .

Guy I purchased from says it's lifters making noise ....?

To the best of my knowledge all modern Mercedes engines have a crankshaft position sensor. There is a possibility this could be related to your issue. Best of luck.

Thank you for your time, took it to a master mechanic, said engine was toast. ..saved myself the headache and 3600 ...pphheeww.
