newbi with a couple of questions
Hi all,
I have got a 1997 C280 elegance estate and now it has a few problems [sm=smiley19.gif]
1. An exhaust clamp has rusted away and snapped so the exhaust is really loud, it's the clamp between the passenger side (i'm n the UK)down pipeand the first box, can anyone give me the P/N for this? I was on GFS parts and they have 9 different clamps!!!!!
2. I have also developed a rattle, at first I thought it was an exhaust mount (resulting in theabove clamp breaking) but I was wrong! It appears to be the pulley that drives the fan on the front of the engine (between radiator and engine) this is wobbling when running. I am concered it might throw the belt if i leave it much longer. How easy a job will this be tofix? There is a large nut between the fan and pully is it just a case of tightening this or will the radiator need removed? With the fact the pully is moving back and forthis it something internal to the engine case or will the problem just bebehind the pulley?
Thanks in advance.
