I have a 1994 C280 and am changing out the Neutral Safety switch but can't find it. I thought it was located next to the shifter. I have the center consol out but can't locate the switch. Any help would be great.

Found the location of the safety switch. It's located on the left side of the transmission that is accessed from under the chassie. I installed the new switch and now the car won't start. Is there a certain way or position the shifter be when changing out the switch? I noticed that the car pops out of low (2nd gear) and whem I put it in park, the key won't come out. I think it thinks it's in reverse. Any help would be appreciatred
