Need some advice on a 2003 C240
I am considering buying a 2003 C240 with 30k miles. It has every option I think except for power seats, heated seats, and headlight washer. The dealer wants $22,500. It is a certified pre-owned so the car has two years of warranty left with 70k miles left. I was thinking about paying to extend warranty two extra years. Figuring I drive about 15,000 miles a year so that would give me four years of a warranty. Of course that would cost an additional $1945. What do you guys think about a total price of $24500 for this deal. The car of course looks to be in excellent condition.

Not sure about pricing since I have not checked in a while.
I've had a 2001 C240 since they first came out. It will be six years end september and I'm goign to keep it another 10 years if not more.
I've had a few quirks given it was a first year model but with you looking at a 2003, you should not have any of those issues.
The cars gets 23.8 mpg (average over the last 3580 miles), drives like the brand new loaners I get when I have it serviced. Yes you will pay for fixing things here and there and if you'd rather have the repair price set up front, take the extended warrantly. Or you could shell out for whatever repairs as they happen. There are many kinds of warranties though so be careful. I had the one from the dealership and I used it once during the 5th year, just before it expired. The first 4 years were covered anyway.
