Been driving my 1998 C230 since 2003 without any problem. But to my suprise, as I was driving, I realised that the car doors fails to lock as it used to. I have to pack and checked, then I found out that the wiper was not working the window can not go up or down the dome light was off and the truck can not be open electronically and the car need to be locked manually.
To cut the long story short. The car is running fine, but
1. The electronic lock not working.
2. The truck need to be open and locked manually.
3. The wiper is not working.
4. The windows lift are not working.
5. The blinkers are not working.
So guys, any help/idea will be appreciated b4 I start spending money.

sounds like a common FUSE/RELAY problem.

replace the fuse and u otta be fine.

otherwise, unplug the battery and try to reset the computer.

if that doesn't work either, there is no cure. you need a priest to exorcise the unruly souls dwelling in your car.

delorean696969 has the same problem, that's why he is selling the car.

 

Thanks, I unplugged the battery and all is good again. What type of FUSE could have caused this type of "shut-down". Can it happed again.

if removal of the battery does the trick....actually its not very good, because it seems to be the main computer's hiccup.

DEFINITELY NOT THE FUSE.

it could also mean a stuck RELAY...happens a lot on MBs.

if it happens again, u need to find out which RELAY is responsible for all this....normally it is the one called CONFORT RELAY, and get a new one.
