Default Need help

I wrecked my 99 C230 December 6 and it's still not fixed. It has been to 3 different shops and neither one can find the problem. Here's the problem - when the steering wheel is turned all the way left, hands removed and pressing the gas it will not correct itself. When doing the same turning right - no problem, it corrects. I was hit on the front right - ANY thoughts would be greatly appreciated so that I can relay them to the "experts" who currently have my car.

Default RE: Need help

wheel return is usually directly in relation to the caster reading on the front wheels. If the caster specs on your car are not correct, the wheel doesn't return to center. Does it fade one way or the other when going straight, I would guess the side it fades towards is the problem. If anyone has done a proper alignment on the car you should have a printout of the specs, see if the front caster is not in spec on one side. If the spec is out one of the control arms is bent or the frame is not straight, if the shock tower was worked on it may be placed improperly.
