Need engine model number for 3.2ltr AMG engine
Hello,
new to this forum was on MB world. I am looking for the correct engine model number located on the long block rear of the bell housing. Need to verify the correct number for SLK32 AMG, C32 AMG and lastly Chrysler SRT 6 all of which have the same AMG engine. Reason I am asking is because I have a 2003 C32 AMG and the engine was swapped by a rip off garage that had taken 4 months to install a working engine that I now am having overheating issues with. The garage will not honor the warranty, had B.A.R. involved and now have to take the garage to small claims to get my money back. I now have a good garage that will replace the engine with a used 3.2ltr AMG engine for model of vehicle.garage has performed a block test and cylinder head compression check all of which come back great but as soon as the vehicle is driven over 65 mph the engine with start to over heat. No coolant it mixing with oil or transmission oil, when it over heats the coolant wI'll be pushed out of the expansion tank. The engine doesn't idle bad either or start bad, the garage sent the engine model number to MB of Bakersfield who have said the engine is not a AMG engine and is overheating because it's not designed for a supercharger application. Please help need to buy a SRT6, SLK 32 or C32 engine ASAP.
Thanks,
RUSS G.
