I took my friend's BMW X-3 in for service yesterday and they gave me an '08 335 loaner car. I drove it for the whole day and put about 150 miles on it.
Now, before you say, "HEY COYOTE>>>this is a MERCEDES forum!!!"......let me just say....go drive this car for yourself. I GUARANTEE you won't believe this thing. And I'm not a big BMW fan since I had a 328 before my MB C230K. But this thing is a monster in disguise. Regular looking four door
sedan but it has a 300hp, twin turbo, inline six under the hood. DEAD FLAT torque curve from idle on up. That thing goes to 100mph so quick it's silly.
Really surprised me! AND> as you know, I am also a Viper owner. The BMW does 0-60 in 4.8 sec. according to the road tests, and I believe it. It's a really tight car and although I said I'd never buy another BMW after the one I had, I have to admit......it's tempting. Only one small problem....they're
pricey. 40K base, then add all the cool junk, plus tax, plus this and that....and I could see a 50K price tag real fast on that thing. But I have to admit.
That was the most fun I've had in a long time in a car. I still can't believe how strong it feels. I must be spending too much time in the C230 and not enough time in the Viper! Ha!
