Hello all... Im currently working on moms mercedes... she owns a 2000 C230 Kompressor... She has been dealing with some issues for some time... well enough is enough shes up there in age and need not do what shes doing...

Fuel gauge... it works for about 1/2 tank then will go full, empty or inbetween... somtiems the fuel low light will blink even when it is at 1/2 tank.. I assume its a fuel sending issue. I find out that there are 2 on this car... it has twin tanks... any ideas on testing each w/o pulling the tanks???

Dash lights... when u turn on the driving lights there is a light that comes on, in the dash cluster... its a bulb.. so it seems to me that there is a bulb out somewhere... is that the case??? I cant find any light on the exterior that is burnt.

Mirror.... the drivers side mirror seems to be loosing a tint that is in the glass. Looks like mercedes has 2 layers of glass on the mirror and a tint layer inbetween... inbetween because its shrinking and the mirror is half tinted and half regular mirror glass...

any help is most appreciated. Mom needs to have some of these things fixed. I already figured out the "tank filling" issue.. its the J valve in the shut off valve (part 000-476-70-32) that is causing the issue, common on some mercedes.
