RE: Mercedes just told me I can't do it.....reset it....
This is what i did to mine.
turn the key to the position just before starting.
go the mileage screen.
with the arrows go to the service A section
press the reset **** until you get a question asking if you want to reset
then you can take it from there and it worked on my 2002.

RE: Mercedes just told me I can't do it.....reset it....
I tried this on my 2003 C240 and got it to work. I would like to post a different version of the instructions that make things a little clearer for me. I want to thank mrcoyote who posted this, this is all his work, I just changed it to make it clearer for me to follow the next time I need to follow these instructions.
TO REST THE SERVICE A OR B on this car:
1) Turn key to the #2 position. There has been discussion on whether the door had to be open or shut, I did it with the door shut. The key to this step is that you have to put the key in the ignition and turn it to the #2 spot when you put it in. If you have the key in and turn it off and on it will not work, it has to be the initial entry, the fan should come on the check engine light, etc. as if you were getting into the car the first time. DO NOT START THE CAR.
2) Scroll Menu button on upper left of steering wheel to show the mileage.
3) Use the arrow up/down to show the SERVICE A or SERVICE B icons....there will be one or two wrenches showing.
4) Hold the trip reset for approximately 10 seconds. It will prompt you if you really want to reset the service interval.
5) Let go of the trip reset button and push it in again. It will tell you that the interval was reset.
