I have a 1999 Merc C220 CDI. which wont start. The car was left for 3 months whilst i was abroad. I have fitted a new battery. The engine will not crank when the key is turned. ( Electronic Key )
I have replaced the batteries in the keys and tried spare Key, The keys work the central locking, turn the ignition on and release the stearing lock. The vehicle battery is brand new and fully charged, The starter relay isnt being energised. If i bridge out the starter relay the vehicle cranks ok. I believe its imobiliser isnt coming off. Any ideas greatly recieved.
