Default Light/sunroof control console buzzing noise

20002 C240

I am getting a slight buzzing noise coming from the upper console with the light and sunroof controls. It is coming from the circuit board, part number A203 820 1401 8G69.

The battery current draw is about 10ma so its not much of a drain. But itsstill annoying.

Any ideas?

There is a little tiny fan up there used for the in-car temp sensor. They can get noisy sometimes. there is also another in-car temp senor in the a/c control panel. You should see both of there little vents. The a/c takes both reading and comes up with the average in-car temp.

When I had that baby replaced, it was over $200...kind of a pain!

Default fan running after ignition is turned off

Does anyone know if the fan in the sunroof control area should shut down after the ignition is turned off? It continues to run in my 2001 C320. If it continues to run when it shouldn't, would it be enough amps to drain the battery? I wouldn't worry about it except that my battery has begun losing charge overnight. Thanks, Tim
