Really didn't know where to post this, but since I have a C Class I'll give it a shot here.
Where can I go to find out what all the MB letter designations stand for? M, A, C, CLK
SLK and so on. Any information on the # designations would also be helpful.

i do know a few of them

K short
E fuel injection
S sport
C compact
L lightweight
D diesel
this is what they originally meant in the begining.
dont have an M or an A for you but usually they mean something in German. If someone does know let me know. thanks. Im sure someone has the answer. They teach you that at Benz school I just dont have all the notes on that.

 

So thats what they ment.That I did not know.But what about if someone has a CL55. It would be C-Compact and L-Lightweight

 

Yeah I know what you mean. I think C used to be Coupe also. But obviously C is also a sedan and coupe now.

 

Im looking foward to seeing the new CLC in 09 I think

 

heres the pic I have a a CLC..its only the front though. it looks like the new C but a coupe. i think they did a way with the C coupe and are just calling it a CLC
