Does anyone know what the letters on the trunk of a MB really mean? I have a 300SE and I have seen 300SEL. Some people have told me that SE means "special edition" and SEL means "special edition long" but I have to believe that MB has other meanings for them.

 

there is no "rules" on what the letters stands for. But on the S-class and the previous se and sel models, the L does stand for long, as in long wheel base
