Key Problem

Greetings,

I have a 1998 c230, when i put smart key in, it won't turn any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance

Sounds like the coding is out of sync.

Have you tried a second key?

Yes, should of mentioned ordered new key from dealer, no help. It happened all at once, no warning sign at all.

sounds like the EIS is dead. EIS = Electronic Ignition Switch
