WOW thanks for all the info. I got a pair on order and already have the recharge kit. Like I said in an earlier post I used the K&N's on my 05 Harley Heritage Softail Screamin Eagle. There was a definate difference before and after according to the dyno, not much but there was about a 5-7HP gain. Wasn't sure about the Benz, after all, it's not a Harley [8D]Thanks again

I have installed a K&N filter in my 05 C230, the filter fit perfectly. And I expect to get allot of miles out of this piece, besides it beats buying a air filter every 15-20K. The filter was a little pricey, but well worth the cost.

K&N are not good for your daily driver car, the amount of particles it let's in are high. If you want performance some of the Foam Filters have an overall good ratings. But the increase is very minimal if this is a daily driver I wouldn't recomendK&N Filters the MAF sensors will get gumed up over time you will have to purchase cleaner and in some circumstances you are looking at having to replace the hole MAF unit which is expensive.

I would think twice about using this filter in your car.

There is some truth in this statement, however BOSCH say that a MAF/MAS should be replaced every 100k miles anyway.

Mine went at about 145k miles, so im not complaining, the cost was £155 $330 U$D for a BOSCH, i tried 3 or 4 cheaper CHINESE made ones atHALF to a THIRD of the cost of a BOSCH, waste of timeand they made the car cough and splutter, constant check engine light and no power, oh and dreadful fuel economy.

SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
