Just wondering... is the navigation hard to operate?

I really like those lights that look really bright and not yellow. What are those lights called? [&:]

I am super excited about my new car. What should i expect besides it being fantastic?

Hi and welcome. I have the same car, so any questions you have that aren't answered in the owner's manual
which should be in the glove compartment or in the trunk in a black "case" on the far side of the trunk......I'll be
happy to try to answer. The nav. system is explained there as well. What to expect from your car? Well.....hopefully.....
you can expect good performance from a four-cyl. car in terms of driveability and mileage. Use only premium gas
in it and you should get great mileage if you don't drive it too hard. You can get over 30mpg on the highway if you just
cruise at a steady 65 or so. At least I do. Enjoy your new car.

I haven't had a chance to actually "read" the owners manual because theres sooo much stuff listed!!
However, I was able to figure out the basic stuff like Navi, the single and mutli disc changer and stuff!! It's all pretty easy.

Actually, I have a question. I'm sure it's listed in my owners manual but i'll ask anyway.... My C230 Kompressor is a automatic but it has that sports shifter thing. How doI use that? Do you have to be in sports mode to use the sports shifter? Or can i remain in comfort mode and still use the sports shifter?

Your dash will show what "gear" you are in with a D or 4, 3, 2, 1. You can access these gears by a push of the shifter.
All that stuff, plus the modes, what they do, etc. is in the manual if you only want to read that part.

 

congrats on your new car! I just bought an 05 Kompressor today from Temecula since I go to UC Irvine. haha Oh. about the bright lights? Headlights, right? Those are HIDs (High Intensity Discharge). Some aftermarket HIDs are illegal, but cops rarely pullsomebody over for it. If you want the HIDs to remain street legal, try getting the ones slightly lower than a 6000k intensity. The intensity of the lightbulb determines the color you want, which explains the different sorts of colors from some cars. 6000k produces a bright white/light bluish shade. 8000k produces a really blue shade. and 10,000k produces a purplish shade. Kind of like the colors of a rainbow. haha sorry if its too much information, but I hope it helps! I'm getting 6000ks next week, so let me know if you're planning to purchase it. =)

 

a note when u shift in that automatic try not to redline it.that means letting the needle with the rpm numbers on the left side of ur dash go into the red. it prematurly wears down the tranny mounts and causes undue stress on the drivetrain without proper modifications. and if you want bright hids go to K! they have a great selection they are a sponsor on this forum and as a picky car guy their knowledge and service are great you'll be in good hands.
