IT'S FIXED !!! HELP : Engine barely runs ! (C240) after battery dis-connect

RE: HELP : Engine barely runs ! (C240) after battery dis-connect
OK - I've located the valve although I'm going to have to buy an adaptator for my gauge.
You said that it should read about 3 bar at idle with engine running I imagine?

I connected a pressure gauge to the service valve and started engine : 4 bar just like it should be.
Now what ? I'm stumped. But, I still thinkl it is related to the ECU : EVERYTHING WAS OK UNTIL I DIS-CONNECTED THE BATTERY.

i said at least 3 bar and not less than that.
the next thing will be tough because without the aid of diagnostic computer, you cannot know directly the fault and actual values... and therefore like a blind person walking in the subway.
i suspect throttle valve programming memory was lost. why? because you said no throttle response and no idle position memory.
it can't be the throttle valve itself directly. it can also be the pedal travel sensor, the pedal value sensor, it's wiring harness, etc.
the strange thing with it was that it got no check engine light [sm=headbang.gif]. and fault code might not be present because the ecu considers all signals as normal.
try this: turn the ignition "ON" with a/c and radio off for 5 minutes. this will let the ecu do the self programming on throttle valve (full open, close and idle). then start the engine.
let me see what i can think more.

okay, here's what you've been hoping for...engine control unit problem, i found it.
no fault code stored i assume because no check engine light.
now, just check the part number against it. pull up the control unit and read from the label. if it matches, then you got it.

No joy. Turned key "on" for 5 minutes started engine : no change.
Yep ! that's the '76 Cessna Cardinal RG I do ALL the maintenance and believe me IT'S EASIER THAN THIS F$£%€ING Benz ! ! !

That error message that you posted : 'Engine starts but then cuts off sounds pretty close except mine runs abit before stalling . Re-starts normally then resumes to slow idle then stall. Sounds very much like what is in the Mercedes screen you posted. I will check ECU now. Give me 10 minutes....

that's because it got no wheels and brake pads.
i cannot see the side mirror either.
