Default ipod question

I have been doing some research and can't seem to figure out if what I want to do is possible. I know that there is an ipod integration kit and after install the total is around $800 if I go to the dealer but I wouldn't mind controlling my ipod on the ipod. So my question is can I disconnect the cd changer and just plug in some type of cd changer input to headphone jack adapter? I have a 2007 C230 that does not have navigation. Or maybe is there an extra aux input I don't know about? Thanks

Are cd changer inputs one standard type?

Default RE: ipod question

I have an 07 C280 and we don't have the prewired aux hookup. They stopped doing that around mid year '06. Contact Blitzsafe if you want to use the ipod as the controler. I used one of these on my A4 and it worked perfect for years. It replaces the CD changer so you will loose the changer. With the Benz I went with the MB integration kit and I love it. It took a while to learn the controls as it is not intuitive at all, but once you do it is so easy. I got it for $300 from Keenanmotors a MB dealer in PA. The integration kit is a plug and play and there are lots of DIY's on these boards. Take a look at mymbonline.com. Great write up. Oh, you will probably have to get your phone activated to use the BM integration kit but that takes 5 minutes and only cost $35. Probably the cheepest service you will ever get from the dealer.

Good luck, Greg
