Installing a CD player into a C200
Hey everyone I am having some difficulty installing a CD player into my 1996 C200 Elegance. I have been on the net for the past 3 hours trying to work out what the wires are. I have visited tons of sites and gotten many different answers. I am afraid if I attach the wrong wires together, I will blow the deck. The ones I have in my car are black, red, grey, orange, and pink. If anyone out there has any idea please let me know. Thankyou.

hi, if it is a cd player in dash you just need one that has the same blocks as the loom conections that are there when you took the previously fitted radio out. i just got my first c200 sport today and just plugged my kenwood mask straight in and it works perfect so just got to route cable to the boot for my auto-changer. if the connections have been altered find a donor car and put the original connectors back on...... hope this is helpful....steve

Installing a CD player
There are only wires hanging out of the car so unless I buy a connecting loom for the car like you said then Im still stuck. I might go and check out some Mercedes wreckers this weekend and see if I can find a loom. The stupid thing is Ive installed many Cd players over the years and done wires from the car straight onto decks but the German colour coding on the C200 is so different to anything Ive encountered. The deck is quite pricy so Im really reluctant to just connect up wires without knowing for certain what they really are. I appreciate you getting back to me and thanks for the idea.
