How sporty is a 2000 c230k...
Hello again,
My 2000 c230k is a pretty good mover considering it's stock.
I definately don't adhere to the speed limit and I seem to downshift to accelerate when a good clear lane opens up.
The car has 70k on the odometer and the engine is clean.
Any problems that might come my way besides the cop or the wasted gas?
Is this car truly meant to be driven aggresively sometimes?
Thanks for your opinion,
Alex.

If you are wondering if aggressive driving will break your car because you have high mileage, the answer is no. Mercedes parts are often heavy duty compared to the rest of the auto industry. However, aggressive driving will cause shocks, springs, steering components and other chassis parts to wear out sooner than they would with typical driving. That, of course, is true for any car.
The key to car longevity is good maintenance. Make sure you always have good clean oil in your engine. Don’t skip the A or B service intervals and you may consider shortening the time interval between services to really keep on top of maintence.

Well, c230k is sporty, but the engine is a little rough on the edges.... sporty - but not as sporty as.....
Mine is a C320 v6, and WOW have you ever seen Jeremy Clarkson on TOP GEAR whirling around a track, with the engine singing like I church organ - thats what the V6's are like... gives me butter flies and a smile so big you would think I'd won the lottery - - EVERYTIME...
Either way, it is a Mercedes, and should be driven as such - swift smooth and fast when appropiate, BUT considerate at all times. , i.e NOT LIKE A BMW drivers
(no offence to any dual owners out there, UK BMW owners nowerdays generally drive like Ford/Vauxhall/Opel people).
Happy days!!
