Default Help removing sunroof screen

I have a 97 C230. Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to remove the sunroof screen without removing the sunroof? The covering has separated and needs to be replaced or possibly could be reglued if all the form and backing material was removed. But I can't figure out hoe to get it out.

you must remove the glass from the roof before you can remove the shade, removal of the glass is easy 6 small torx screws.

i just sent you an email.........yes on the sides when you open the roof to the vent position you should see the rubber accordian pieces on either side and you pull them out then you will see the screws behind them. then when you get the glass out then you can take out the shade.... there are 4 little plastic pieces that are attached to the shade, they slide in the tracks, you just push them in with a scew driver then pop out shade.

Thanks for the help. I have looked at the rubber accordian pieces, but had no idea the screws were behind them. this sounds easy. Hopefully I can get the shade out and my local trim shop can repair it. They refused to work on it otherwise.

I have the same situation, and was wondering if you were able to a) get the sunroof off, b) get the screen out and c) get the sunroof back on with no defect.
