CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP I SUSPECT THERE IS A FAULT WITH MY AUTO GEARBOX I HAVE A C180 SPORT 1998 AND RUNS LIKE A BAG OF DUNG SEEMS TO BE PULLING OFF IN 2ND GEAR AND NOT 1ST HAD IT ON A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE BUT THERE WERE TWO READINGS OF NIL OF THE FOUR READINGS FOR THE GEAR BOX ANYONE KNOW OF ANY IDEAS WHAT IT MAY BE ?

AND ALSO MY ABS/BAS LIGHT HAS COME ON AND IVE LOST FULL USE OF CRUISE CONTROL !! ANYONE OUT IN THE BIG WIDE WORLD HELP.......SL CRUISIN ....SIR ANY IDEAS PLEASE

 

Don't know exactly about the gearbox fault but I have had to have the speed sensor replaced in my c200 autobox. This entails dropping the gearbox sump and fitting a new piece of plastic that has a sensor and circuit board that checks the speed of a shaft. Its not a diy job.

The Loss of cruise and abs is usually the poorly built brake light switch that is easy to fit.
