Hello! Newbie here, and I have a need
I just bought a 98 c230- man, it is just awesome- fantastic car. Silver with blue leather interior. 81k. I have two problems with the car:
A) the driver seat bottom front adjustment not working at all
B) the MAIN problem- the brakes grab. They don't shake, or pull or anything, but as you come to a halt they REALLY grab. It's almost like all or nothing.
Any advise??.....

81k is quite expensive for an old car.
the driver's seat bottom is mechanical or electrical adjustment?
sounds like the check valve on the brake booster is malfunctioning. it fully opens on a slight movement.
welcome to the forum.

No no- that is the mileage
Brakes: How do I ID/diagnose/fix? I think you're onto something.
Seat- it literally does nothing, which leads me to think switch. I checked the wires under the seat, and it all loox intact...
Thanks!!

as you know, the brake booster is sealed and connected to vacuum on the front end to assist the braking force.
if you will apply atmospheric pressure at the back of power diaphragm, the pressure difference between the front and back provides maximum power assistance... and you don't want that to happen.
