Default Headlamp washers...

I have a W203 C220 Avantgarde Estate. I have a set of headlamp washers that are not working so I started to investigate the cause.
With the engine running, when I press the button on the dash to activate the wash there is a decrease in engine RPM, from that I guess that there must be some power being used by the pump(?) However, I do not hear the pump activating so I guess the motor must be jammed? I opened up the wheel arch panel to look at the pumps on the washer bottle (there are three on my car) to find the correct pump (its a white one). However, there is what seems to be a 'spare' cable with a connector on it not actually connected to anything, it has two wires (a blue and brown) so its either power or a sensor, but I cannot see anywhere where this connector would connect to. All of the pumps have their power connected, the low water level sensor is connected also. I'm baffled .
Any comments folks?
