Default Hazard Lights flashing at double speed?

I was wondering if anybody had a clever answer to this! When the car is locked by the electr key, the hazard lights start flashing at double speed (continuously), but stops when the car is turned on again?

Please help!!

Lord! Did you remember to tell us what your car is? Think not. So Sleepwalker guessed. 202 and 203 key fobs have red panic buttons, that's what Sleep meant.

Nowadays....people expect us to know their car models? We do not have a crystal ball. Neither are we Allison Dubois!

sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry

assumed that didn't matter, as long as I'm in the right class. C320 (2000), and no panic button on the key, could anybody by any chance give some insight? (Hope sleepwalker can forgive me)

i don't know the answer not unless i have initial check with the car.

maybe the command was not properly executed due to some errors such as: one door cannot lock (or still open), low alarm horn battery, defective UCP or IMS, crash signal misinterpretation, etc.

Do you think disconnecting the battery might work Sleepwalker?

i don't think so.

best way is to run diagnostic on it and see what surprises it got in store for you.

That's the way your car saves power, flashing twice as fast is for when you are left at roadside and waiting assistance.... ( I think..)
