H&R or Eibach
I have a 97 C280 w/ 18" rims, 225/40/18 tires front and back.
I dont know whether to lower my car with H&R or Eibach Pro Kit. One is 1.4/1.3 inches and the other is 1.2/1.2 inches. Do any of you know whether one will look better? whether one is better quality? should i just go with price?

RE: H&R or Eibach
I'd go with Eibach Prokit. They are the 1.2 in. drop, right? I don't have any experience with H&R, yet I understand they are good quality.
I've had the Prokit springs and they give a lowered look, with better handling and yet not harsh.

is that a picture of your car with the Eibachs on your Avatar? because that one looks more lowered than 1.2 inches, but if thats what it looks like im in!
also, does anyone have pics of cars lowered with each, preferably c280s with 18" rims =P

RE: H&R or Eibach
No. That is a C43. I have a C280 S.
It is pretty sweet. I used a Sachs Performance Set on a Ford Focus. The Performance Set used Eibach Prokit springs with Sachs shocks
Your would proly be more interested in Eibach Sportline springs - 2 inch drop- but I don't believe Eibach makes Sportlines for the C280?

Eibach Pro Kit will provide 1.2" drop (front and rear).
Eibach Sportline Kit is not available for W202 C280.
H&R Springs will provide 1.4" and 1.3" drop (front and rear).
H&R Cup Kit will provide 2.0" and 1.7" drop (front and rear).

RE: H&R or Eibach
Eibach is bad!!! Ive had Eibachs, H&R sport springs, and Volgtlands on my car.
THe best is Hands down H&R! Eibachs bounce around and tend to sag after a year.
Volgtlands just dont drop enough!
H&R is perfect! height, ride, no sag best quality!

RE: H&R or Eibach
For Mercedes, H&R is more popular than Eibach in general.
So it is a wise decision to choose H&R. But that doesn't mean Eibach is bad. Even Ground Control uses Eibach.
It's a matter of personal preference of how you want your ride to be.
