I have a recently purchased C230, 1998 with progressive problems . 1st i lost front window control, then mirrors, then sunroof, seat and remote entry. I removed battery ground and all worked well for a while Then remote entry quit again which we tolerated for a week by mechanical key and car went to limp mode for a few minutes but came back to drive ability for a week
. most recently it refused to start until a long grind with a barely start and then quit. I pulled ground wire again and it stared but has limited acc.s. does anybody have a clue?

 

I have issues with my fuse box under the hood getting wet and then nothing works like the windows and sunroof mirrors key fob usally is worse during winter months when rain comes frequently. Try drying out fuses and seeing if that helps. Im still dealing with this issue which i dont know wether i want to replace the fuse block or find a way to seal it. Let me know what you find if anything
