Dear Sleepwalker,
Thanks to your guidance, I fixed the problem myself. Using a Volt/amp meter, I found that the left fuel sending unit didn't 'show' any resistance(ohms). I removed it (no special tools required) and I just bended a little the contact. Everything now is OK!!!
