Is this a fair price?

Is this a fair price?
Of course not! It's a dealer price
I'm going to look at this car in the morning, see link below. It's the only manual 240 I can find near me. Would be my first MB. If it checks out good (carfax, dealer inspection, etc) how much shall I offer? I'm paying cash. I'm thinking $16,500?

RE: Is this a fair price?
I bought a 2001 a year ago and I got for 16,000. Later I learned that most of these vehicles come from auction and the brokers that are buying them pay as low as 12,000 for them. Start like around 14,500. If you have a MB dealer close to you have them run the vin # and sometimes they have internet specials around the price that the other dealership is asking. The good thing about MB dealers is that you'll be able to buy a GOOD extended warranty. My extended warranty DOES NOT cover any sensors and the major electri stuff. Good luck...
